Data Analytics
Data Analytics (DA) involves scanning, ordering and interpreting raw data in order to answer particular questions or determine something specific about the data itself. The majority of DA projects are designed to help organisations make faster, more reliable or otherwise better business decisions. The process of siting through and interrelating this data is often called Data Mining, and is a crucial part of many eDiscovery procedures.

Many successful Data Analytics professionals have the following skills and experience:
A Querying Language such as SQL
A Scripting Language such as Python / Matlab,
A Statistical Language such as R, SAS, SPSS
Spreadsheet experience in Excel
Experience in Data Visualisation tools such as Tableau is also useful.
These technical skills combined with an educational background of a quantitative degree in a subject such as Maths, Science or Computer Science is usually desirable from prospective employers.
