Application Support Engineer – London – Circa £45,000

Overview:

A top tier eDiscovery vendor is seeking an Application Support Engineer to join their London team. Responsibilities will include supporting systems using industry software such as Relativity, LAW PreDiscovery, and IPRO. The Support Engineer will work closely between both the IT and operations team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all databases support Relativity run optimally
  • Operate as escalation point for the support of database containing large volumes of data across multiple data centers
  • Identify trends and create analysis reports for management teams
  • Identify areas of improvement across the Relativity and LAW PreDiscovery systems
  • Enhance the eDiscovery software using SQL scripts
  • Create and maintain SQL scripts to perform data manipulation operations
  • Operate as subject matter expert and collaborate with internal and external teams
  • Perform system maintenance and upgrades

Requirements:

  • 2 years’+ experience using SQL with strong knowledge of scripting with T-SQL
  • Strong experience troubleshooting and resolving uses between the SQL server and front end applications

  • Prior experience using alternative scripting languages such as C#

Primary responsibilities include working closely with the eDisclosure Manager to ensure completion of queries and technology related queries. Alternative responsibilities include engaging within legal teams / clients and acting as primary contact for ensure completion of projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle multiple queries with varying requirements.
  • Acting as primary liaison for legal teams and clients.
  • Providing support regarding technical queries.
  • Consulting on data, technology assisted review and client scoping.
  • Provide recommendations and guidance when implementing new technologies.
  • Provide training sessions for individuals, teams and even department as a whole.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform IT risk assessment and test data processing systems.
  • Protect all information systems against unauthorised access.
  • Perform internal security audits, communicate audit findings to CISO.
  • Monitor security access, conduct assessments through vulnerability testing and risk analysis.
